The Connolly Ranch is a wonderfully positioned 12-acre farm that serves as an outdoor education center for the children of Napa. It hosts field trips, summer camps and birthday parties and aims at introducing children to agricultural and rural life with hands-on training, teaching them skills which may be cherished for a lifetime. The ranch houses a number of farming animals, including lambs, goats, donkeys, cows, hens, ducks, rabbits and horses. Private field trips may be scheduled. The Connolly Ranch is a permanent preserve of the Land Trust of Napa. Volunteers are welcome.

Sequoia Riverlands Trust ( SRT ) is a regional, non-profit Central California land trust dedicated to conserving the natural and agricultural legacy of the southern Sierra Nevada and San Joaquin Valley. The wealth, productivity and beauty of this land inspire our work to conserve it for the prosperity and enjoyment of future generations. Our mission is to protect working landscapes, wildlife habitat and scenic open spaces, while ensuring that economic growth in our communities remains vibrant and sustainable. To accomplish this, SRT engages landowners, farmers, conservationists and business partners in the counties of Tulare, Fresno, Kern and Kings to collaborate on behalf of Central Valley California heartland with land conservation. To date, Sequoia Riverlands Trust has protected more than 10, 000 acres. SRT owns and manages six nature preserves that protect 4, 069 acres of remnant landscapes, woodland communities and wildlife habitat. And SRT holds conservation easements on 15 properties, totaling 2, 714 more acres of protected land. SRT has also collaborated with agencies, other non-profit conservation organizations and landowners to protect 3, 811 additional acres. Farmland protection SRT works with farmers who are interested in bolstering their business operations while safeguarding the San Joaquin Valleys rich agricultural productivity Fresno County Habitat protection SRT works with willing landowners on conservation easements and other forms of land protection to conserve strategic private properties in the southern Sierra Nevada characterized by their essential habitat for native species, scenic open space, agricultural productivity and/or watershed values

SFC offers the local community the opportunity to preserve special places for future generations through voluntary action.The Sierra Foothill Conservancy was established in 1996 to provide local, community-based support and management for two outstanding foothill properties: the McKenzie Table Mountain Preserve and the Mary Elizabeth Miller Preserve at Black Mountain.The McKenzie Preserve consists of grassland, blue oak woodland, and a basalt table mountain on the north side of Auberry Road below Prather. It covers 2960 acres of land ranging in elevation from 800 to 1800 feet. Vernal pools at the top of the basalt formation provide critical habitat for rare plants and invertebrates.

The Land Trust of Napa County is an agency whose mission is to protect the rural nature of Napa County. Its conservation efforts go to  preserving agriculture, scenic open space and biodiversity. It was established by local residents who saw the necessity of preserving the hills and valleys and extraordinary scenic views of Napa. It  oversees maintainance for permanent preserves, properties protected by agency transfers and properties protected by conservation agreements. Some of the properties protected by conservation agreements include, Alston Park, Carneros Creek, the Coppola Estate, Dunn Sentinel Hill, Green Valley Ranch and Newell Open Space. It is located in suite 20 and is member of Land Trust Alliance.

Established in 1987, Bay Area Ridge Trail Council is a full-service organization formed for the promotion and building of the Ridge Trail. Located in San Francisco, Calif., the organization has built over 325 miles of the Ridge Trail, which provides a complete range of recreational activities for the children and adults. The Bay Area Ridge Trail Council hosts various events, including Ridge Trial cruz, trail work parties, bike the bridges and tour de fat, among others.
