In operation since 1993, Santa Fe Ingredients (SFI) is a manufacturer of chilli pepper products and Mexican sauces. Based in Animas, N.M., it specializes in manufacturing bulk ingredient and custom food service products, serving food companies worldwide. SFI range of products includes green chillies and jalapenos in various dice sizes and purees, crushed tomatillos, pepper mashes, fire roasted green chilli and tomatillos and nacho sliced jalapenos. Providing products in drums, bulk containers and various foodservice and pack sizes, it offers 4 processes, namely aseptic, hotfill, brined and hydrobrined. In addition to having its own vertically integrated crop procurement system, from seed to processed peppers, Santa Fe Ingredients (SFI) also buys from other chilli growers in New Mexico, Arizona and Mexico. Besides establishing a Certified Grower Program, it is also involved in active research and development (R&D) in crop cultivation, harvesting and processing.
