Yankee Peddler & Pawn has been in New London since 1994 and opened the Groton location in 2005. The owner, Mark, buys and stocks a wide selection of "gently used" goods, ranging from used guitars and amplifiers to televisions, hardware, yard equipment and jewelry. Yankee Peddler and Pawn also loans money. The interior is clean and well-organized on racks and inside of display cases. Staff are on hand to help customers with their purchases.
Southbury Trading Post and Country Jewelers is a gun dealer and jewelery pawn shop. The owner, Thomas Pietrini, has been successfully running this no-cash business for nearly 30 years.
