Founded in 1961, DeKalb Technical College provides degree, diploma and certificate programs to more than 20,000 students. It provides a wide range of instructional and career programs in business, computer information systems, engineering, health, and industrial and transportation technologies. Its technological programs includes various technological subjects, such as air conditioning, medical laboratory, electronics and computer engineering, surgical, and printing and graphics technology programs, and it also offers medical assisting and optician programs. DeKalb Technical College provides adult education services, including literacy and English language programs. The college is accredited by the Commission on Colleges of the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools, and is located in Covington, Ga.
