Green Lines Transportation, Inc., is a privately owned business which originated in 1980 as a result of the deregulating of the transportation industry through the Motor Carrier Act of 1980. We are proud of our record of satisfying the individual needs of each of our customers from both a common and contract motor carrier status, with specialized equipment for transporting heavy general commodities, particularly steel and metal products. Since our inception, we have grown consistently through our customer base by establishing a proven track record and a reliable reputation of handling several hundred shipments a month. In 200 7, Green Lines shipped in excess of 34, 000 truckloads and 680, 000 plus tons of metal and building products. Operationally we have six terminals which service our mid-west clientele through our Ohio, Michigan, Illinois and Indiana terminal bases. Our North Carolina terminal has developed a very strong presence in the southeast region through our contracted business and continues to be a major force. Our fleet of equipment consists of approximately 1 2 0 trucks which include company owned and controlled flatbeds (90%), as well as permanently leased owner/operators (10%). Our entire fleet has trailers with side kits and full tarps for protection and claim reduction during inclimate weather. All of our trucks and drivers are equipped with cellular phones for immediate response and location updates.
