Rancatore's Ice Cream is located at the corner of Massachusetts Avenue and Waltham Street in the middle of Lexington Center. This location has been in business for over six years. This "old fashion" ice cream parlor is a very popular local hang out for both kids and adults. It offers fresh ice and yogurt made on the premises. The selection of flavors changes daily. Service is quick and the staff is very friendly. Ice cream cakes are also available, but you must order them in advance. "Rancs" as its known to the locals, is open seven days a week and late in the evening.
Dandi-Lyons is a small ice cream stand located on the northern end of Route 28 in Reading. The menu is simple: soft serve, hard ice cream and frozen yogurt. The ice cream selection is a mix of classics such as vanilla and chocolate chip and more kooky flavors such as Almond Joy, Chocolate Overload, Crunch-a-Saurus, and Strawberry Cheese Cake. Sundaes, root beer floats and frappes are also available.
There are six picnic tables. Groups are welcome.

Mad Willies hosts birthday parties and has discounts for college students with a valid college ID as well as a senior discount on Tuesdays. If you buy one large lobster salad roll you get a free small ice cream or frozen yogurt. They are open through December.
