The mission of Vermont Associates is to assist mature workers in becoming the best qualified candidate for jobs consistent with their interests and abilities. Vermont Associates works with employers and community organizations to develop and increase the range of employment opportunities available to mature Vermont workers.Vermont Associates for Training and Development, Inc is a statewide, private non-profit 501 ( c ) 3 corporation founded in 1983 1983 for the purpose of providing training and employment services to low income, mature Vermonters.Vermont Associates has built its extensive expertise in serving the diverse needs of mature Vermonters through operating programs such as the Senior Community Service Employment Program ( SCSEP ). The mission of the SCSEP is to support people and organizations in using citizen service as a strategy to meet critical community needs. It provides opportunities through which individuals develop skills and gain valuable experience critical to their future success. On-going training and support for these individuals is an essential program component.
