This school has been teaching the fundamentals of tractor-trailer driving to students since 1968. Graduates earn Class A Commercial Driver's Licenses and /or a Class B Commercial Driver's Licenses. The School uses a state-of-the-art driving simulator: a computer-generated training aid that places the user on an actual road, with various types of conditions and weather. Other programs include corporate training as well as Fire Department CDL classes. NDT Driver Training prepares students for the CDL road tests of the Departments of Transportation of Rhode Island, Massachusetts, Connecticut, New Hampshire and Maine. NDT Driver Training also offers assistance with job placements. Financing is available for qualified applicants.
This teaching facility of the Toni & Guy chain provides a full line of hairdressing services by students (under professional supervision), and that in large part is what makes the place fun. The academy is huge—easily three times the size of a typical salon—with a lot of hustle and bustle as the students learn their craft. Besides regular cuts for women, men and children, the academy offers full and partial highlights, perms and chemical relaxers—all at great prices, too.
East Bay Educational Collaborative provides a regional alternative high school environment for students through the East Bay Career Academy. The program provides personalized attention for students referred to the academy by the eight participating Rhode Island public regional school districts, including Bristol & Warren. In addition to a regular high school curriculum, the school offers job placement and vocational programs to prepare students for college or the working world.
East Bay Educational Collaborative also offers graduate courses for teachers and education professionals, job coaching, a transitional academy for fifth-year high school students and assistive technology.
This is the East Providence location of the American Arbitration Association, which specializes in helping disputing parties reach settlements outside of court. In addition to individual dispute resolution services, it also works with corporations, unions, government agencies and law firms in order to help impartially and expediently resolve conflicts.
