VFW George R. Wolff Post 425 was one of the organization's earliest posts, forming in 1920, just after World War I. It is named in honor of the first man from Hopkins to die in that war. The post is also among the largest in the metro area; including its ladies' auxiliary, it has more 900 members on its rolls. The post offers food, drinks, pull tabs, bingo and, of course, a place for vets to gather and share their stories.

This is the local outpost of the Fraternal Order of Eagles, an international nonprofit organization. Several years ago, the club underwent a $1 million reonovation, but it still has the typical appearance of an old-school, small-town fraternal club. The club offers a pool, Friday night raffles, karoake and Bingo on Saturday nights.
