Cape Organization for Rights of the Disabled advances the independence, productivity and integration or people with disabilities into society. It provides services including transportation, assistance on navigating disability laws, educational programs and technical programs to improve quality of life for people with disabilities.
The Department of Youth and Family Services is located in Room 21 of the Forbes Municipal Building. The department is managed by a full-time director. The many services offered by the department include counseling for children and families, offering information about mental health and substance abuse issues, and providing referrals to appropriate service providers. The office also runs a summer youth program called Hot Summer Nights and employs a summer youth activities coordinator.
