Porter and Chester Institute (PCI) has been providing career training to students in many fields since 1946. The Stratford location on Lordship Boulevard is one of nine PCI campuses in CT and MA and is accredited by U.S. Department of Education. Career training programs in Stratford include automotive, computer-aided drafting, computer and network technology, electrician, electronic systems, HVAC, health specialist, dental assisting and medical assisting.
Frank's Driving School, located at 53 New Britain Ave., has been in business since 1968. Integrity, ethics, reliability and pride are the mottos of the business. Thirty hours of instruction including eight hours of driving comprise teenager and adult programs. Spanish and Italian instructors are on staff. DMV testing is offered on site. The Hamden Campus of the Marinello School of Beauty is located in the Putman Plaza shopping center. Its curriculum is designed to teach students the skills they need to become successful cosmetologists, aestheticians, manicurists and makeup artists.
